Position Summary:

  • You are one of the credit union’s primary contacts with members on a day-today basis. You provide consistent, accurate member service, while proactively discussing the members financial needs. You exercise personal initiative, within your scope of authority, to fulfill the credit union's mission of becoming our members’ trusted financial partner for each individual and organization within the credit union's field of membership. You work as a team with your Manager, your department team and other departments within the credit union. Your primary responsibility is to provide teller services by phone to existing members and establish member relationships. You proactively support a high quality sales and service culture within the organization.
Essential Job Functions:

  • Warmly greet members on the phone, always using the member’s name whenever possible.
  • Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check requests. Accept member requests for bank wires, savings bonds, tax deposits, credit card cash advances, ATM/Visa Check card replacements, check by phone, credit card, check free cases, bill pay inquiries, stop payments, change of address notices, check reorders, temporary check requests and other maintenance items as requested by members.
  • Accurately input CUNA life and disability claims.
  • Input member’s loan requests, follow up on online loan requests and respond to members within 24 hours with a loan decision.
  • Promote electronic access for all members and cross-sell Touchteller, ATM or ATM/VISA Check Card, direct deposit/payroll deduction, online banking, bill pay, and additional credit union products, services and promotional sales to meet the members needs.
  • Educate members about credit union products and services, ensuring properly disclosed rates, fees, Truth-in-Savings, Delayed Availability of Funds, Electronic Funds Transfer and other required disclosures.
  • Promptly and accurately respond to member requests concerning account discrepancies or errors. Ensure timely follow-up with members.
  • Process all transactions in a fast, friendly and accurate manner.

  • Set up savings, checking, Money Market, certificate, trust accounts and additional services for existing members. Ensure completeness and accuracy of all required paperwork. Accurately input data into the database
