At SAFE, we believe it is important to provide benefits that help improve the quality of life for our employees and their families. In addition to competitive wages, SAFE offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to help employees meet their needs.
- Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
SAFE provides employer-paid group medical, dental, and vision insurance to all non-temporary employees regularly scheduled 30 hours or more per week. Employees are eligible to enroll in insurance the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees enrolled in Kaiser pay a portion of the premiums for their own coverage. Employees enrolled in Western Health Advantage (WHA) High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) pay no cost for their own coverage. This portion is subject to change each plan year. SAFE makes a generous contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA) for eligible employees enrolled in the HDHP plan. Part-time employees working less than 30 hours are not benefits-eligible. In addition, SAFE provides dependent coverage for qualified dependents at 50% of the insurance premium costs.
- 401(k) Retirement Plan
SAFE provides a 401(k) plan with a company matching contribution. Eligible employees may enroll in the plan on the first of the month following two (2) months of employment.

SAFE understands that there are times when employees may need confidential assistance in non-work related areas such as child care, managing severe illness, care for elders, assisting with financial hardships, family and juvenile counseling, and legal phone consultations. Our EAP provides confidential, professional assistance when personal problems affect employees and their families.
SAFE employees enjoy valuable additional benefits such as wellness resources and paid time for volunteering and community involvement. Employees who become SAFE members can also benefit from banking services, including free checking accounts, printed checks, notary service, a safe deposit box, loan rate discounts, and more!
